BYD Sealion 7 Inspection: Evidence Before Purchase
An inspection-point count is not proof of the quality or scope of a Sealion assessment. Ask for the actual work list, the person responsible and a report tied to the selected vehicle.
Separate inspection categories
Include history, body and underbody, cabin functions, charging and appropriate battery-related diagnostics. Have high-voltage work performed only by qualified personnel. Record limitations where the necessary access or equipment is unavailable.
Make findings usable
For each material concern, ask what was observed, how it was diagnosed and what remains unknown. A summary saying passed cannot replace evidence for a disputed fault. Keep photos and diagnostic records tied to vehicle identity and inspection time.
Close the acceptance loop
Agree necessary repair, responsibility and retesting before handover. Repeat condition photographs at carrier transfer and inventory the keys and charging accessories. Do not treat a general inspection label as a warranty or a promise that every future fault has been excluded.
