BYD Sealion 7 for Fleets: Pilot the Operating Plan
A fleet purchase should be based on the operator’s routes, charging windows and local requirements, not a general promise of lower total cost. Trial one identified Sealion specification before expanding an order.
Map the working shift
Record distance, passenger demand, climate use, turnaround time and charging access. Identify the longest demanding period and a backup if the planned charger is occupied. Have the responsible local provider confirm suitability for the proposed commercial use.
Measure the pilot
Track energy, time out of service, passenger feedback and charging interruptions under ordinary conditions. Keep purchase price, finance assumptions, tyres, servicing and downtime distinct. A private-driver estimate is not a fleet business case.
Control the batch specification
Require identity and condition evidence for each vehicle rather than one sample report for the entire order. Standardise essential equipment and supplied charging accessories where practical. Expand only when support and operating results justify the decision.
